Where to donate to people in the music community and to black and Latino families affected by the LA fires
Lists of those in need and gofundme links
Below is information on where to donate directly to those individuals and families made homeless by the LA fires.
Every dollar counts, as not only have people lost their homes but also most of their personal possessions, and often their transportation (cars, motorcycles) as well.
Some have also lost their business assets (and their way to make income).
Please feel free to share this with your networks.

Donating to organizations that are providing food, shelter, clothing, etc.
I’m an advocate for providing direct support to artists and to individuals and families, but some may prefer to support organizations that are providing emergency support such as meals, clothing, shelter, etc.
Dan Epstein of Jagged Time Lapse offers a list of organizations you might wish to support at the bottom of his latest post.
Chris Zappa of Zappagram also offers a list of organizations to support, as well as some musicians he knows who have suffered losses.
Thea Wood of Herizon Music advocates for donating to Musicares:
“As a [Recording Academy] member, I’m asking that music fans help their L.A. sisters and brothers by donating to MusiCares. It’s the RA program that helps music industry folks in need of healthcare, social services, and other crisis services. You do not have to be a member to receive help. They’ve launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund and initially donated $1MM to start the campaign. 100% of donations go directly to people in need. The org is offering $1500 grants and $500 food vouchers to wildfire victims. MusiCares has already distributed $2MM in emergency aid.
